Born and raised in Washington, DC, ZetaZen was educated in DC Public High Schools. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson Senior High School, she moved to Los Angeles, California for a short period. Upon returning from the west coast, she landed a job with the Roots Activity Learning Center, an independent African-centered school, as an administrative assistant.
While at Roots, ZetaZen worked on her undergraduate degree, first at Montgomery College and lastly at the University of Maryland University College. She graduated from UMUC May 2000 with a Bachelors of Science. She majored in Management, minored in Behavioral and Social Sciences. She is also a member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. She held a 4.0 GPA while at UMUC and has been on the Deans List at Montgomery College and University of Maryland University College.
After obtaining her degree and soaring as high as she could at Roots, (Office Manager), ZetaZen was hired for a job within the Federal government, under the Outstanding Scholar Program for recent college graduates with a G.P.A. of 3.4 and higher. She has worked as a Human Resources Specialist (Classification).
ZetaZen is now a Human Capital Officer at an executive branch agency within the Federal government.
ZetaZen completed her dual graduate degree program at the University of Maryland University College. She has a Master of Science in Management (specializing in Human Resources Management), 2003 and a MBA, 2004. Currently, she is in school obtaining her third Master degree, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (2008). She is specializing in screenwriting.
